Celaya, Gto., September 30, 2016.- With a thesis on the intellectual effects by consuming marihuana, Daniel Vargas became the first graduate with a degree in the major of Clinical Psychology at the Div. of Health Sciences and Engineering of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.

The graduate is from the second generation and with a work titled "Memory of work and polymorphism 5httlpf in college students of the state of Guanajuato," where besides studying the psychological effects of cannabis sativa, analyzes the possible damage to the human organism.

"Consuming cannabis doesn't affect work memory. In several trials with consuming subjects and non-consumers the first obtained better scores in executive tasks since they were more efficient when making simple tasks as following orders, better verbal fluidity, better mental agility," he commented.

He added that cannabis sativa has been used by millennia, with religious, recreational, medical and textile means, however, he recognized that currently its use is covered with stigmas, myths and criminalization.

Hence, he commented that research must continue in the complex issue, due to the diverse social, cultural and legal implications.

In the same manner, explained the first titled graduate of Clinical Psychology and said to be proud, since "I see it as a reward of all the effort since the beginning of my degree."

Daniel Vargas remembered that during the degree his work topic allowed him to receive different scholarships among them, from the Council of Science and Technology of the State of Guanajuato (CONCYTEG) and institutional, with which he could present in a national and international level. A research, he said, which will finish in the presentation of his research in the Intl. Encounter of Sciences where he received a recognition for his degree title work.
