Guanajuato, Gto. October 4, 2016.- For their achievements in the national and international level, the Oral Litigation team of the University of Guanajuato (UG) has been invited to talk about the challenges and benefits of the new criminal justice system at the US Embassy in Mexico through a virtual conference that will be transmitted through social media.

The transmission will be done this Friday October 7 in Mexico City, being the first oral litigation team in the nation to be invited to make this activity, due to the obtaining of the first place in "Champion of Champions" in the city of Washington, D.C.

The previous was revealed by the team's advisor, M.A. Juan Páramo Vázquez, who asserted that during this virtual conference, the team will be asked question of the accusatory system, their points of view and the advantages of the same, as well as the benefit obtained when participating in this competence.

"This is one more achievement for the institution, since these recognitions are the result of a collective participation, this event represents a much wider projection, now I believe that we don't just only represent our University, but our state and other litigation teams in the nation" affirmed M.A. Páramo Vázquez.

The students who will participate in this event are: Gloria Guadalupe Sandate, Dulce María Dávila, Gustavo Rodríguez and José Rafael Arellano, who were the winners in July 2016 in the competition "Champion of Champions" at Washington, D.C.

The achievements of this team go back to 2009, by obtaining the first place in the First National Competition in oral litigation techniques, advised then by M.A. Juan Manuel Olvera.

Part of their achievements and performance, is that at the beginning of this project they obtained the first national places, even before the state of Guanajuato had its own Processing Law and the issue of litigation techniques was incorporated in the curricular plan.

Diverse generations of students of the degree in Law at the Division of Law, Politics, and Government of UG's Campus Guanajuato, have been part of the Oral Litigation Team and have been advised and assessed by specialists in oral litigation techniques and ex-members of UG's team. Throughout the years and in diverse competitions, they have triumphed nationally and have obtained two international triumphs in Argentina.

The new generation of the Oral Litigation Team –with 8 new members—will represent this house of studies in the upcoming national competitions of Aba Roli and Cal Western School of Law to defend championships they currently hold.

In addition, they'll participate in the University National Competition of Criminal Litigation in Argentina next Oct 22 with the objective to defend the title as champs by obtaining the international tri-championship.
