Guanajuato, Gto., October 5, 2016. With the purpose to contribute to the formation of a more just and tolerant society with sexual diversity, the Department of Nursing and Midwifery venue Guanajuato, of Campus León, promotes the analysis and respectful debate in a series of forums that will conclude next November.
The activities began on September and will have the participation of personnel from the Institute for Women in Guanajuato (IMUG), the Specialized Centers of Attention for Interfamily Violence (Cevif), from the Department of Health of Guanajuato and the Collective SERes.
The forums are open to the public and in them will be addressed issues such as "Panorama of the gender violence in the world and México," "What to do in case of gender violence," "Identity of gender and sexual diversity," Violence: importance of complaining," "Sexual diversity and family" (with the participation of the ex-regent Rubí Araujo); "Stigma and discrimination in the matter of gender and sexual diversity.
There will also be a Sexual & Reproductive Health Fair and the International Day against HIV/Aids will be commemorated, also, it will be told the story of two HIV carriers and a parade through the city's streets.
With these events, professors and students at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery venue Guanajuato seek to offer a space for the community to receive information and sexual, physical, psychological, social, legal and health orientation to promote safe conducts, identify risk situations and support the victims of violence.
The activities will be held at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery venue Guanajuato, in the venue Noria Alta. In charge is the Nursing Group for Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity, whose responsible is M.A. Lucia Caudillo Ortega.
