
Irapuato, Gto. October 6, 2016.- It is now open for the public the First Produce Show of the Cities from the State's Northeast, as a cultural, gastronomic and artistic mosaic that exhibits the most representative from Tierra Blanca, Atarjea, Doctor Mora, Santa Catarina, Xichú, San José Iturbide and San Luis de la Paz.
Thanks to the collaboration between the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the Municipal Institute of Culture, Art and Recreation (IMCAR), this Thursday and Friday is exhibited in the House of Culture of Irapuato the produce show, which includes conferences from the chroniclers of such cities.
Federico Vargas Somoza, IMCAR's Director highlighted the importance of collaborating with the University of Guanajuato in the diffusion of culture and traditions of the seven participant cities, that was made by initiative of Dr. Eduardo Salazar Solís, Director of the Division of Life Sciences from UG, and the Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Center of the Northeast, Ing. Alfredo Mozqueda Córdova.
He also emphasized the worth of inviting cities that few people know, to promote that zone that is rich in landscapes, culture, gastronomy, traditions and whose settlers are very hospitable.
In this framework, these conferences were taught: "Identity and Culture of Doctor Mora," "Ceremonial sites of the forefathers of the Sierra Gorda," "Dancer of the sun and the moon: tradition and memory of the shell dance in the Northeast of Guanajuato," "Biodiversity of Guanajuato", "Prehispanic and traditional Medicine in the northeast," and "Cultural Identity of the Sierra Gorda of the Northeast of Guanajuato."
In this enclosure was also offered a presentation of tunditos, prehispanic music with flutes and drums composed by four members, and inaugurated a painting exposition of cactus in danger of extinction in our country, presented by Lic. Marcos Valencia Espino, a plastic artist and chronicler of the city of Doctor Mora.
Also participated in the inauguration of the event, the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz, accompanied by Prof. José Luis Rivas Loyola, Municipal President of Atarjea; by the TSU Lázaro Cárdenas Cabrera, Municipal President of Santa Catarina and the Ing. Ramiro González Colín, Municipal President of Tierra Blanca.
