León, Gto., a 7 de Octubre de 2016.- With the objective to divulge the results from research in nursing and their contributions to health; professors and students from the educational program of Nursing and Midwifery of Campus Leon of the University of Guanajuato, participated in the XV Pan-American Colloquium of Research in Nursing with the topic "Research in Nursing: Contributions of Universal Health Care."

The colloquium was organized by the National School of Nursing and Midwifery from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and was held at the University Cultural Center Tlatelolco in Mexico City. There were work journeys from October 3 – 7 with three axes: research and nursing, research policies and financing, lastly, the formation of the researchers through the Doctorate studies.

During the event, the results from the research and its contributions were divulged, alternatives to improve the health services were analyzed, besides seeking to favor the practice of nursing based on evidence and implement strategies for a better education, formation of health professionals and prioritize the development of this discipline.

The XV Pan American Colloquium of Research in Nursing is a biennial reunion done since 1988 and allows the collaboration of professionals in the area of researchers, in addition of having the support from the Department of Health, the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), associations, national colleges and research networks in nursing, as well as the University of Guanajuato.

The event had the participation of 22 national and international experts, master conferences were given, in addition, the presentation of oral works and exhibition of posters.
