
Celaya, Gto., Ocotber 8, 2016.- The Division of Health Sciences and Engineering at Campus Celaya-Salvatierra from the University of Guanajuato (UG) offers the degree in Nutrition.
The educational modality of the program is schooled and has 10 enrollments. The study plan divides in the 53% theoretical activity and 47% of practical activities.
This educational program has the objective to form professionals with a sound formation in fundamental aspects for the health of the individual and its evaluation of the nutritional state.
The graduate profile has general aspects in management of services, nutrition policies and didactic techniques that allow a professional comprehensive performance.
The graduate nutritionist can influence from both the public and private sector with the food service, population's nourishment of from their office, since it offers a multidisciplinary and vanguard formation, organize and evaluate the programs of nutrition and nourishment, providing food services and development of new products with nutritional quality.
In 2014, the program obtained the document by COCAPREN (Consejo Nacional para la Calidad de Programas Educativos en Nutriología) where it accredits and recognizes the quality of the program, under the national standards in matter of education.
For two consecutive years, the program was recognized by CENEVAL (Centro Nacional de Evaluación para la Educación Superior), which is the recognition as "classified program in the high academic performance standard", for having obtained the outstanding development of students who made IDAP-EGEL exam as an option to obtain the title.
The enrollment for the program are semiannual. Opened on October 3rd 2016 and closes on the 28th on the same month.
