León, Gto. Ocotber 12, 2016.- As part of the activities of the First Encounter of Young Readers from High School from the University of Guanajuato (UG), M.A. Montserrat Aizpuru Cruces, who is part of the Rectory of Campus León, dictated the conference "Symbolism on fairy tales."
During the talk, she exposed a general view of how men has incorporated to the surrounding world a complex truss of icons, symbols and meanings that help him express ideas that are transmitted generationally.
Fairy tales and fables were the proposed examples by Montserrat Aizpuru to illustrate the way animals such as wolves and deer, or nature through the calling of the four elements, have helped men to leave an oral and written tradition of stories created from university experiences such as the fight of good vs evil and transformation of the person, which are a guide with metaphors that include animals with human features, fantastic beings, magic, among other elements.
As M.A. Aizpuru Cruces says, the different times have brought with them the need to adapt and sometimes modify the histories so they can be re-signified by upcoming generations. This has allowed that many times they change the values that managed to represent such symbols, for example, the case of creatures such as vampires and werewolves that were considered monstrous and evil, currently have been "softened" to turn them into commercial products.
