Guanajuato, Gto., October 17, 2016.- The Division of Natural and Exact Science (DCNE) summons the academic community of the University of Guanajuato, the business sector and the scientific and technological community of the country, to participate in the diverse activities that gather in the Innovation, Entrepreneur and Research Week, to be held from October 24 to 29 in the venue Noria Alta of Campus Guanajuato.

The diverse activities of the week will begin on the 3rd Contest of Creativity and Innovation, which will be developed within the 4th Forum of Entrepreneurs at DCNE (Oct 24 - 25).

In this event, around 150 students of the diverse academic programs of the degree at DCNE (Experimental Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Mathematics, Computing) and other division will explain their projects in two modalities: stand and pitch, to potential investors, who will analyze and evaluate every proposal.

In addition of the contest, there will be conferences and workshops to sensitize and specialize in entrepreneur topics.

On October 26 & 27 the activities will continue with the 3rd Annual Encounter of Students: Innovation and Research, which is done for the third year in a row to encourage the integration of different educational programs at DCNE, from both degree and postgraduate.

At the encounter, more than 80 participants will gather and expose their research projects, in two categories: oral and poster. This event seeks to improve the communication competencies of the students, at the same time with divulgation of scientific projects they develop. In this edition, there will be four guest researchers to give conferences in complementary topics of the scientific and technological universe.

Finally, on October 28 – 29 it will be the turn of the 2nd National Congress of Innovation, with the objective to divulge the works of innovation that are made in the higher education institutions of the country, with the finality to strengthen the potential generator of new products, processes and systems.

In this event, students from UG and other institutions –among these, the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and Instituto Tecnológico de Irapuato—will shoe their projects in two modalities: poster and oral show. This encourages the creation of multidisciplinary spaces for the divulgation of technological projects and interuniversity liaisons.

For the organizers of this Innovation, Entrepreneur and Research Week, making these events within UG are substantial for the exchange of ideas, experiences, works, and the encouragement of the scientific know-how generated in the university, hence, they invite all the community who might be interested to attend the debate and the reflection of the social and technological innovation.
