Guanajuato, Gto., October 17, 2016.- With 27 years of continuous work, the Association Guanajuato World Heritage had its annual assembly to show progress of the activities done during the period 2015-2016.

In this ceremony, the Lic. Pedro Vázquez Nieto assured that for the Association is important to be close to state, municipal and University of Guanajuato's (UG) authorities, since it increases the commitment to give continuity to what concerns and affects everyone, which is the rescue and conservation of the state heritage.

On his part, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, expressed its recognition for the transcendent work of this association in the state of Guanajuato, throughout 27 years of history.

He assured that UG will continue in liaison with Guanajuato World Heritage, by strengthening the university commitment and the sum of efforts with the Association, since UG is sensible to history and recognizes the importance of preserving the heritage.

M.A. Jorge Enrique Videgaray Verdad, President of UG's Patronage, highlighted the accompaniment that the University of Guanajuato has given to Guanajuato World Heritage A.C. for approximately ten years.

Likewise, CPA. Carlos Salvador Martínez Bravo, Sub-secretary of Finance who attended representing the state governor, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, recognized the labor of the members of this association.

Also present were Lic. Elisa López Luna and Lic. Carla Rochín Nieto, Treasurer and Manager, respectively, of Guanajuato World Heritage A.C.; Architecte José Luis Moral, Sub-secretary of Social Development; Lic. Octavio Aguilar, Sub-secretary of Tourism; Architect Guillermina Gutiérrez Lara, representing the Secretary of Culture; as well as associates and members of this council.
