Guanajuato, Gto., October 21, 2016.- As part of the activities to strengthen the culture of prevention in the University of Guanajuato (UG), the Coordination of University Safety, in collaboration with Civil Protection and Fire Department made a total evacuation drill.

UG's Central Building has 62 brigadiers who belong to different academic and administrative areas, same that helped in the evacuation of 456 people among professors, students and personnel.

The brigadiers, identified by green and red vests, guided the activities to successfully complete the evacuation. Such as keep calm, don't run, push or yell, suspend any dangerous activity, help disabled people, use emergency exits and go the encounter point.

The participating brigadiers oriented the personnel towards the meeting points, where they could act in emergency situations, all that in 15 minutes.

The objective of the drill is to encourage the culture of safety and civil protection between the members of the university community, as well as provide better tools and knowledge in subject of safety of the universitarians.

The event was the second drill in the year stated in the safety regulations established by the Department of Work and Social Prevision (STPR) to strengthen the self-management of the work centers referring to safety and health.

With the same drill, they seek to promote among the community of the University of Guanajuato the fact that safety is everyone's task.
