
Guanajuato, Gto., October 25, 2016.- As part of the efforts to strengthen the community, the University of Guanajuato (UG), presents the Program of Graduates with Identity "Forever UG", which establishes an institutional liaison in an active, permanent and organized fashion with whom has graduated from this institution.
The program seeks to reaffirm the sense of belonging of who was part of the Maximum House of Studies through actions and activities aligned with an institutional vision, encourage teaching, research and extension.
The program is done under three fundamental axes: 1) Presence, by creating a Consultant Council formed by graduates; 2) Belonging, which seeks to strengthen the university identity; and 3) Participation, with the objective to generate liaison projects between graduates and the institution.
UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, thanked the presence of the graduates and held that the program moves in two ways, the follow up of graduates from an academic perspective, with the objective to provide support to the update and openness of educational programs.
On the other hand, encourage the university identity and sense of belonging to the institution, through the generation of an institutional synergy that allows to give UG, a positioning in the state, in the national level and the international ambiance.
For the occasion was summoned the presence of an initial group of graduates integrated by artists, athletes, business people, public functionaries, researchers, retirees, professors, national and international prizes, collegiate professors and from civil associations.
The Director of the Program of Graduates with Identity, M.A. Antonio González Arroyo highlighted that this program has noble objectives and actions, since it seeks for the graduates to be and feel close to their Alma Mater.
The graduate of the first generation of the degree in Public Accounting, CPA. Carlos Martínez Inda, said that this initiative answers a great necessity and defined the program as an important rescue of the university identity.
