Guanajuato, Gto., October 26, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato (UG) joins the festivities for the traditional Day of the Death with a program that includes contests of altars and catrinas, zombie race, show of rugs and photos, as well as a gastronomic sample and cultural events that cover theater, music and terror movies.

The program "UG lives death, 2016" started with the Week of Terror in the venue Palo Blanco of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, where a presentation of offerings, costumes and a zombie race were held. Afterwards, --November 1st—there will be a contest of altars that will be set on the Central Building of the University of Guanajuato.

That same day, a monumental offering for the Day of the Death will be set in the stairway of UG's central building, which has become a university tradition, since this 2016, turns fifteen years of doing so.

At HS Guanajuato, the activities officially began this October 26th, with an altar contest, a talk where M.A. Carlos Sosa explored the meaning of the tradition of the Day of the Death and several artistic events, that include music, poetry and modeling of catrinas and catrines.

At Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, stands out the projection of terror "Mutualismo", a tour of the legends, rug contest and market of the Day of the Death; while at Campus Leon, a costume party is being prepared with a contest, a gastronomic sample, an altar contest and another of catrinas.

The festivities will extend to several campus and high schools of Penjamo, Silao, Leon, San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, Salamanca and Salvatierra, among other venues, where the students prepare offering, shows and contests.

The program "UG lives death, 2016" is prepared by members of the university community, specially from groups organizes and student's societies, as well as professors and administrators.
