Celaya, Gto., October 26, 2016.- From October 27th to 30th will be held the XII International Encounter of Writers in Salvatierra, that this year will have the motto "Flower and song", and will homage the writer Elena Poniatowska. That is what the event's coordinator from the University of Guanajuato (UG) revealed, Lic. Eréndira Maldonado, who highlighted that the encounter will extend top six cities and will retake the idea to invite writers of indigenous languages.

For this edition, they expect the presence of more than ten national prizes of literature, writers from United States, Canada, Colombia, Chile and Spain, some of them who have confirmed are: Arturo Restrepo (National Prize of Medellín), Álvaro Hinojosa Vidal (Prize Pablo Neruda of Chile), Carlos Huaman of Perú and Lucina Kathman.

Within the cultural program, the string quartet of the University of Guanajuato will present, activities from the State's Institute of Culture and the Culture House of Salvatierra's City Hall will support.

The Encounter of Writers in Salvatierra is an opportunity for the writer and reader to coexist through presentations of books, editorials and magazines, where who begins in consecrated letters and literates converge. Throughout twelve years, Mexican and foreign authors have attended.

The University of Guanajuato is part of the organization and in this edition, the coordination of foreign and alternate venues will participate in the coordination. The considered venues are Yuriria, Santiago Maravatio, Tarimoro, Apaseo el Alto, Comonfort and Celaya, with this they'll have the diffusion in all the south side of the state, mentioned Lic. Oscar Manuel Ramírez León, coordinator of one of the foreign venues and Coordinator of the Unit of University Extension of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.
