Adviced by M.A. Juan Carlos Páramo, the students obtained the tri-championship in the National University Contest of Argentina.

Guanajuato, Gto., October 31, 2016.- Protect the fundamental rights of the people is the main reason why M.A. Juan Carlos Páramo decided to study the degree in Law, and their constant fight has allowed him to obtain several achievements, among them, take the oral litigation team of the University of Guanajuato (UG) to their tri-championship in the National University Contest of Criminal Litigation 2016, held in Argentina.

In an interview, M.A. Páramo said that this kind of competencies, besides showing the academic quality of the students, allows to enrich the knowledges of the topics of oral trials, which he considers as a democratic mechanism that allows to see for the human rights.

He assured that this new mechanism in criminal matter implied challenges, since it changed the legal methodology there was in Mexico, and assures that it must continue updating the preparation of the students to provide a better service for society.

An example of the benefits of these educational adjustments, could be proven in the National University Contest of Criminal Litigation 2016, where the students Dulce María Dávila Álvarez, Lesly Itzel Sánchez Naves, Diana Evelin Toledo Villagomez, José Rafael Arellano Munitiz, Gustavo Rodríguez Venegas and Pedro Valdovino Caballero, advised by M.A. Páramo obtained the first place after defeating the team of Argentina in the final, where they simulated to be prosecutors in a triple homicide case.

For M.A. Páramo, the desire to protect the human rights of people was born in the last semesters of high school, which he describes as an internal feeling that made him focus on Law, "it is a very asserted decision in my life, I made the right choice" he assured.

"The degree in Law, is a noble major, of academic demand which allows to aid in the legal problems of people", that is how M.A. Páramo told in his experience as student, being part of the Oral Litigation team and collaborator in the Free Legal Office at UG.

He remembers, that walking by the university hallways, six years ago, he saw for the first time in the announcement wall of Law, a phrase that he adopted as a personal emblem in his formation: "Every house of studies must be a powerful echo that records the tiniest vibrations from every corner of the destiny of men", from the first UG's Rector, Lic. Armando Olivares Carrillo.

He affirmed that if this phrase is taken to the personal and professional life, everyone could realize that this world requires collective work and if you act in that sense, many of the social problems wouldn't exist.

At 26 years-old, now as an advisor of UG's Oral Litigation team, he influences in his students the philosophy of preparing in criminal matter with a comprehensive formation, for a personal, but above all, a social benefit. In addition, they seek that they comprehend everything they pretend to accomplish only if they work for it, without forgetting that it is not an individual work, but collective, which represents an institution.

"We must always sum and never rest, always multiply and never divide, that is how I always thought we must be", he finalized.
