Celaya, Gto. November 2, 2016. Students of the degree in Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation from the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering, Campus Celaya-Salvatierra from the University of Guanajuato, carry out a comprehensive preparation that includes knowledge in human anatomy and physiology, as well as the body's systems, since it is not only about giving a massage, but to have the medical knowledge to give physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Reason why they have the laboratory of physical therapy and rehabilitation, which is equipped to execute their professional practices with five different areas that are: Early stimulation, Manual therapy, Hydrotherapy, Electrotherapy and Strengthening therapy.

To become a user, you just need to come with the results of the medical valoration, where they specify which is the treatment it was ordered for the patient, with this, they identify if the patients is candidate to receive therapy. Generally, the sessions last 10 to 15 weeks; the users can be from children to elders and it is only necessary to bring the material that will be used for this service. Lic. Brenda Jiménez explains, who is responsible for the laboratory; "every week we receive from 60 to 80 patients and we have a schedule from 07:30 to 18:00 from Monday to Friday."

Guillermo Rivera, student from the third semester, who attend to make his practices explains: "early stimulation if offered for the newborn and up until two years old, when there is delay in the development diagnoses and through sensory and motor stimulation; electrotherapy is done with analgesics to remove pain the Russian power strengthens and stimulates the movement; in Hydrotherapy, they work with thermotherapy and it is so the patient may make the exercises easily."

Abigail Barragán, student from third semester, is in the apparatus floor, she works with a person with cervical problems and explains: "the sessions are mostly with the wheel to move the shoulder"; in addition, she explains, works with a patient that has an injured knee and with him. She uses the stair and ramp to reeducate his march.

Looking at the other apparatus within the place she adds: "we also have ultrasound for ankle sprains, laser for the knew when there's swelling and the whirlpool tubs are used to move water and the patient" and she affirmed "I like to offer this service in the laboratory, since it compliments my knowledge, since theory is important, but practice is necessary; to form yourself as a therapist.

To conclude she points out: "the laboratory has the necessary to support society, I recommend all the people that need physical therapy to come, we have the knowledge and we are pleased to attend you."

For Pedro Lemus, patient's companion explains: "mi wife has improved a lot, we are treated better than in any other place, they stay by your side during the session, I heard of the service by a family member, scheduled my interview and we were accepted." Regarding the attention, he explains: "it is an excellent choice since other institutions, the cost is too high, there are people who can't cover it and the University offers a quality service, they are very kind and caring", he concludes.

Para Pedro Lemus, acompañante de paciente explica “mi esposa ha mejorado bastante, nos atienden mejor que en muchos otros lados, no se despegan de ti durante la sesión, me enteré del servicio por un familiar, saqué mi entrevista y nos aceptaron”. En relación a la atención explica “es una excelente opción pues en otras instituciones el costo es muy elevado, hay gente que no podemos solventarlo y la Universidad ofrece un servicio de calidad, son muy atentos y amables”, concluye.
