Guanajuato, Gto., November 5, 2016.- With the purpose to help the students benefited by the Program of Regional Equity of the University of Guanajuato (UG) make promotion projects of the traditions of their region or community, the Academic Secretary organized the course "The project of my traditions."

On the matter, the institutional responsible of the Program of Regional Equity and the Coordination of Social Action of the Direction of Liaison, M.A. Lilia Esther Ulloa Bedla, mentioned that this workshop seeks to support the students of the program, so they can develop a project that can be applied later and contribute to their communities.

The professors of the Maximum House of Studies; Dr. Maricruz Romero Ugalde, Dr. Aurora Zavala Caudillo, Dr. Erika Carcaño Valencia and Dr. Macarena Orozco Martínez oversaw the course.

In an interview, Gabriela Ramírez Mora, from the community of Tarandacuao and student of the degree in Touristic Resource Management at Campus Guanajuato, shared her interest to recover the patriot parties and the party of her community which is not done anymore. With this, she expects to attract tourism in alternative ways without damaging the environment, as well as to implement a program to clean public spaces.

On the other hand, Maria de Lourdes Torres, from El Realito, studies the degree in Financial Management at Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, and she pretends to rescue the commemoration party of the Virgen of Guadalupe, a typical tradition of her community that has been forgotten with the years.

It is important to mention that recently, the University of Guanajuato presented the Program of Regional Equity, where it offers the opportunity to study a degree to youth from cities with a big educational gap.
