The entry of the programs to the PNPC represents a public recognition of their quality, hence, nineteen programs from diverse universities with whom UG shares value and responsibility of the high quality educational programs will be evaluated.
The educational institutions that will be evaluated are: Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, Universidad Veracruzana, Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Universidad de Monterrey, Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, the Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla, and the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
At the event that began the evaluation, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino said that the mean of a PNPC educational program, is for the institutions to be in a permanent culture of evaluation to have a vision that allows to optimize the quality and search opportunity areas in a process of continuous improvement.
He assured that, to be in the PNPC it is necessary to have specific schemes and parameters, especially in postgraduates with high social risk such as the medical specialties, hence, he hope that this evaluation process is fruitful for this means.
On his behalf, the Director of Postgraduates at CONACYT, Dr. Luis Ponce Ramírez said that this evaluation is a co-responsibility of the Council and higher education institutions, he added that next year they'll socialize to have a new PNPC oriented towards the social responsibility of the institutions and research centers of all the country, in a responsible and sustainable manner.
He added that the educational institutions have in their hands the formations of the future generations and this formation must be thought in a multidisciplinary form for continuous improvement.
Likewise, the Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez made reference of the high educational quality at UG, since it is the second institution in the country with a larger number of full-time professors integrated in the National Researchers System (SNI), and these results are thanks to the continuous support for the professors, students and educational programs; an example are the priority programs to strengthen the faculty staff, which are: the Program of Institutional Strengthening and the Program of Scientific and Technological Innovation.
He assured that a historical moment is being lived, with institutional actions that have a purpose: The University's progress. In this sense, he added that UG thinks to face the social demands, and one of them is to have academic programs with quality and relevance.
