pfp-instruye-en-seguridad-trabajadores-ug-ugtoIrapuato, Gto., November 8, 2016.- Derived from the agreement for safety between the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the different government orders, the Preventive Federal Police (PFP) trained on "Community Safety" workers from Salamanca and HS Irapuato.

35 workers from the different venues of the Campus, between security personnel and services auxiliaries, attended the first of four sessions of the course whose responsible is the Offices Sergio Buenrostro Piñeyro, representative of the PFP from the city of León.

The officer made a dynamic with the university personnel, to whom he invited to detect threats in their different ambiences such as the community, school, family and personally; to then later talk about leadership, how to interact with the inhabitants and the student community, as well as the procedures of attention in risk situations.

The next sessions, will address the legal part regarding situations or incidents, how to formulate a complaint, stress control and resilience, among other topics.

Ing. Raúl Morales Aguilar, chief of the department of safety at UG, explained that the purpose of the course is to exchange with the Federal Police some benefits such as the training for functionaries in safety, as part of the comprehensive program of university safety.

Such program has five axes and one of them is training, which began at Campus Guanajuato and continues at Campus Irapuato – Salamanca and HS Irapuato. In addition of vigilantes, they invited services auxiliaries, who make weekend guards, contributing to their professionalization.

This and other measures, are to improve the safety conditions of the university community around their competence and possibilities, which is inside the buildings. On the outside university facilities, there is a coordination with other instances, added Ing. Morales Aguilar.

The safety course for functionaries taught by PFP, is a result of an interinstitutional agreement for UG and its liaison with different corporations.
