ug-sede-del-congreso-internacional-de-analisis-organizacional-ugtoGuanajuato, Gto., November 9, 2016. More than 300 researchers of Mexico and the world gather at the University of Guanajuato (UG) from November 8 to 11, in the International Congress of Organizational Analysis (CIAO), a space for interinstitutional dialogue to share information on research regarding the organization's problems.

In this XIV edition, the theme of the encounter is higher education and sustainable development. Postgraduate students and researchers from 77 universities in the country and foreign (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain and France) participate.

At the opening ceremony, UG's Pro Vost, Dr. Héctor Efraín Rodríguez de la Rosa, representing the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, said that this congress represents the appropriate time to reflect seriously on how to contribute from the education with changes that cause a positive impact in the subject of sustainable development.

The virtuous cycle of teaching, research and extension, must be strengthen through the link with the social needs and, must bet on sustainable development.

CIAO, constitutes a gathering point among researchers, postgraduate students and people interested in the analysis of the organization, where they dialogue and discuss experiences related to research in a wide variety of organizations, such as small companies, government entities, political parties, universities or organizations of civil society, among others.

The event is promoted by the Mexican Network of Researchers in Organizational Studies (REMINEO), whose chairman, Dr. Guillermo Ramírez Martínez, sustained that is time to reflect and imagine possible worlds in the organizational universe.

In his message, he highlighted that higher education must be the spearhead of social efforts and it's the academics responsibilities to propose new paradigms where knowledge is the base of harmonic evolution from the social, political, economic, cultural and environmental point of view.

The Rector of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Unit Iztapalapa, Dr. José Octavio Nateras Domínguez, declared that public universities have the commitment to not only form women and men and generate knowledge, but also seek solutions to face the greatest national problems.

The Coordinator of the Academic Body of Organizational Studies, Dr. Francisco Javier Velázquez Sahagón, representing the Director of the Department of Organizational Studies, Dr. Domingo Herrera González, revealed that they will present 270 posters, and celebrated the opportunity to share experiences, avatars and achievements.

In his intervention during the inauguration, Dr. Claudia Gutiérrez Padilla, Academic Secretary of Campus Guanajuato, representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, Rector of Campus, mentioned that the complexity of the current institutions makes dialogue necessary, as well as addressing the topics from a multidisciplinary focus.

Previously, the Director of the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences (DCEA), Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López, welcomed approximately 300 researchers, who group in twelve work tables.

At the tables, these topics were addressed: Symbolic life, Organized Action, Power & Conflict, Social sustainability & Responsibility; Intervention and Organizational Change, MiPymes and Family Business, Methodological Focuses in Organizational Analysis, Education and Social transformation, Public Policies, Institutions & Organizational Perspective; Learning, Knowledge and Innovation; Critical Studies of Administration; Territory and Organizations, as well as Gender and Organizations.

As speakers: Bruce J. Perlman, PhD. Professor at the School of Public Administration of the University of New Mexico, who will talk about the control ambiance in modern organizations and Dr. María Ceci Araujo Misoczky, Associated professor to the School of Administration of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) who will address the topic of green economy, as well as the Senator and Ex-Rector of UG, Dr. Juan Carlos Romero Hicks.

In the opening act were present the Academic Secretary of UG, Dr. Raúl Arias Lovillo, participants of the Congress, professors and students.
