Celaya, Gto. November 12, 2016.- At campus Celaya-Salvatierra students from the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences from the Marketing major, organized the first regional forum "eco-forum" titled "Social and ecological responsibility."

Parting from the bases of social ecology, where the ideal state is an "ecologic society" where they fight for a humanistic focus amidst an ambience of a holistic relation between the natural beings and their balance is achieved through self-regulation.

Students from the seventh semester of marketing set up the program where they considered different conferences, artistic interventions, workshops and panels; in the organization, participated 32 students from the class of "Special marketing" whose responsible is Dr. Carmen Castrejón Mata.

The idea, explains the student Moisés Mendoza, is to invite the attendants to a reflection on how are we living and the damage we are doing to the planet without even knowing, to begin a personal transformation parting from actions that contribute to modify our habits of consumption.

Among the talks offered were: design of ecofriendly products by Helvex, who spoke about the social responsibility of the company to take care of the environment, highlighting the care of water in their line of products such as showers, single levers, flowmeters, toilets, dry urinals, etc. These have been greatly accepted and recognized in the market and have achieved different prizes.

Lic. Jorge Rincón Maldonado of the organization Circle of businessmen, spoke about Fair Commerce, an initiative that seeks to link and joint isolated efforts from small groups of producers with the idea to encourage relationships and commercialization schemes, that allow the timely distribution of their products.

Among the workshops offered, stands out the one of "Gender Equity in organizations" taught by Lic. Alejandra Campos, of the Committee of Support for the Woman and "Guide to create organic fertilizer", taught by M.A. Lidia Bernal Negrete, ascribed professor to the Department of Social Studies of the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences.

The student Ana Guido, from the business of Agribusiness and attendant, explained, "within the forum we were able to discuss, interact and reach a conclusion that we must take care of the environment and set in motion from what is in our part, since we are future professionals and agents of change."

To conclude, explains Moisés Mendoza, student and one of the main organizers, "marketing is not only for business, due to its nature, it can be an agent of change and if the change is focused to create awareness in society, is a step we are willing to give, it's time to call unity and commit for sustainability and for our university."
