León, Gto., November 12, 2016.- The first feature documentary done by the Laboratory of Interpretative Audiovisual Ethnography (ETNOAI) of the University of Guanajuato (UG), "Kauj Uza MAré. Soy un viejo Chichimeca", produced jointly with the city hall of San Luis de la Paz, will be presented next Tuesday in the city of Guanajuato.

The documentary is about José Trinidad García, who lives in a community which is a Chichimeca Mission. "Don Trini", as known by the locals, is a character proud of his culture and at his 75 years of age, has made different cultural expression to rescue their traditions.

That is what Damián González García informed, graduate from the major if Social Anthropology at UG's Campus Leon, together with other graduates produced this material coordinated by Dr. Maricruz Romero Ugalde, professor-researcher of the Department of Social Studies at Campus Leon.

The team of graduates, creators of this documentary are: Edson Arturo Jair González Arenas, Christian Damián González García, David Tafoya Martínez, and Mariana Nieto, graduates from Social Anthropology and Carlos López Camacho, graduate from the education program of Sociology.

"Don Trini, is a story teller, musician, painter, poet, and he also introduced in his community a small cinema based on drawings projected with a candle, he is such a character", commented in an interview Damián González.

The premiere will be held in the Auditorium of Mines at Campus Guanajuato, located in Ex-Hacienda of San Matías, Tuesday November 15, at 13:00hrs. During the presentation, Don Trini will be there, as well as people from the Chichimeca Mission.

The project was created with the municipality of San Luis de la Paz, who actively participated with ETNOAI Laboratory. They filmed around 18 hours, with a 2-month pre-production.
