Guanajuato, Gto., November 14, 2016.- With the objective to train the selected university personnel from places such as Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia, to negotiate internationalization tasks and processes, the Leibniz Universität Hannover, the German Academic Exchange (DAAD) and the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) jointly organized the Trainign Course DIES "MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONALIZATION" in collaboration with the University of Guanajuato (Mexico), Manipal University (Manipal, India), and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology – JKUAT (Nairobi, Kenya).
The participants have the possibility to deepen in regional subjects, course that is carried out in three different continents, being the workshop for Latin American participants at the University of Guanajuato (UG), which will be held on November 14 to 18 of the present year.
This training course is part of the program DIES (Dialogue on Higher Education Innovative Strategies), jointly coordinated by DAAD and HRK since 2001.
The course beings every 18 months and the selected participants receive a scholarship from the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the German Federal Government.
It is developed in four themed modules and each one offers a balance between conceptual learning, oriented formation to practice, negotiation skills, as well as the development of "soft skills" (capability to effectively interact with colleagues).
The program has three workshops and a project's development. Although, the first module is mainly conceptual, the formation course focus, methodologically, in the practical experience of internationalization.
With these workshops, UG places as a leader institution in Latin America in the topic of negotiation of the higher education internationalization.
In this workshop, which is also offered to African and Asian institutions, the participants are continuously assessed and accompanied during the learning process by the regional experts to guarantee the most personalized formation.
Personnel from the Direction of International Relationships and Academic Collaboration co-organize this workshop, with the hospitality of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, aimed for personnel of international offices of higher education institutions in Latin America.
