
León, Gto., November 22, 2016.- With the task to open a space for dialogue on the Model of Dual Formation in Mexico, there was an international conference: "Dual Technical and Professional Formation in Germany and Mexico" at the facilities of the venue San Carlos of Campus León of the University of Guanajuato.
The event's coordinator was Dr. José Antonio Espinal Betanzo, academic at the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of Campus Leon who in collaboration with the guest professor, Dr. Ludger Pries of Humboldt Class of the College of Mexico, made this journey possible.
Dr. Espinal expressed that the University of Guanajuato opens with this event a space for dialogue in a novelty topic in a region that develops around automotive industry, which requires trained workforce.
During the activity program, outstood the realization of panels based in for themes: the dual technical and professional formation in Mexico and Germany, experiences of technical and professional formation in the Bajío and other regions, experiences of dual formation in settled companies, as well as challenges and future of the dual formation in Mexico and Germany.
During the ceremony of inauguration there was the presence of Dr. Luxana Reynaga Ornelas, Academic Secretary of Campus Leon who attended representing the Rector of Campus, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, where she offered an opening message and hospitality to the present.
Then, it was the turn of Ing. Jorge Ramírez Hernández, President of the Patron Confederation of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX) Leon, who addressed the multiple benefits that the dual formation offers to young people.
M.A. Jorge Abel Arteaga Sánchez; Sub-secretary of high and higher education, who attended representing Ing. Eusebio Vega Pérez; secretary of education of Guanajuato during his intervention he commented "Our state requires to move on and develop more our people, elevate the educational level for the economic and social dynamic that the entity is presenting", he reaffirmed that only with education you can have a better quality of life.
Dr. Oliver Knoerich who performs as director of economy and global issues at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that the model of dual formation represents the economic success of Germany and low rate of unemployment as well as high technical competencies. He thanked the University of Guanajuato for fostering this type of events that link theory with practice and represents a symbol of the good relations between Germany and Mexico through practices in the areas of mobility, science, culture and education.
Finally, Lic. Ramón Alfaro Gómez; General Director of Municipal Economy and representative of the municipal president Lic. Héctor López Santillana referred that the dual formation model is not a social service, professional practice or stays; it is about a professionalization of competencies, he highlighted the presence of Volkswagen in our state to boost these areas. He finalized commenting that you can learn a lot from the dual formation model to make Germany an ally for our country, for the state and our city.
The Dual Formation Model (MFPD) promotes the liaison between the theoretic formation of the student in school and the development of their professional skills in their area of work. The objectives are to form professional frames in fields of interest for businesses and train the young in the necessary competencies for their job insertion.
