
León, Gto., November 16, 2016.- With the purpose to approach the students of the University of Guanajuato (UG) to spaces where they can locate in a compared perspective the 1917 Constitution and argue the possibility of a Spanish American constitutionalism, there was a colloquium "Towards an agenda of compared history of the Mexican constitution on 1917" as part of the International Seminar of Spanish American History.
The opening ceremony, made in the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, had the presence of Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus León, who mentioned that the promotion of these activities "will help put Mexico's history in perspective". Also, attended Doctors Alex Caldera Ortega, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities and Aquiles Ávila Quijas professor-researcher at the Department of Social Studies and main encourager of this space.
The guest professors of national and foreign universities oversaw the expositions. Dr. Mirian Galante Becerril, of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, began the conferences with her work "Fueros y constitución en los primeros debates parlamentarios mexicanos, una visión del sistema de fueros militares y eclesiástico en las primeras versiones de la constitución mexicana y sus cambios hasta la actualidad."
Later, was the turn of Dr. Maria Sol Lanteri, who works in the Institute of Argentinian and American History, exposed a retrospective of legal order that allowed to see the geographical-historical configuration of Buenos Aires and other Argentinian provinces under the name "Liberalism, institutional changes and land property rights."
Afterwards, Dr. Regina Tapia Chávez from the Colegio Mexiquense spoke about the agricultural distribution and their interrelation with the current configuration of Mexico City.
The journey concluded with the conferences of Dr. Mayra Toxqui Furlong, from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, titled "Towards the nationalization of Mexican waters. Brief tour through their legislation", and lastly it was the turn of Dr. Aquiles Ávila with his research "Liberalismos decimónicos y derechos de propiedad. El triunfo de los communes", it is about the reforms the National Constitution has suffered in matter of private property and the use of resources such as water and communal lands, since mid XIX.
During the second day of work, the interventions of Alex Loayza were programmed. From the Universidad Nacional Mayor, of San Marcos in Peru with "The Peruvian Constitution in 1920 and the Mexican revolution. Social rights and indigenous."
Then the participation of Lourdes Uribe Soto, of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí with the topic "An approach of the Art. 27 of the constitution of 1917 and its repercussions in the female population in the field in the first half of the XX century"
Also, Marcela Martínez participated, professor-researcher of the Division of Social Sciences of Campus Leon at UG with the topic "Naturalization and foreigners in the constitution of 1917"
To close the colloquium, there was the master Conference of Guillermo Luévano Bustamante, from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí with "Constitution and rights in dispute"
