
Guanajuato Gto., November 23, 2016.- With the objective to involve students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) I programs, projects, activities and research in legislative matter, university authorities subscribed a collaboration agreement with the H. State Congress.
Such agreement allows to perform practices and reinforce knowledge and competencies, as well as the social or professional service and cultural, social and educational intervention activities, that contribute to the enrichment of a democratic culture, of negotiation, of service, administration, research and retribution to society.
UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino explained that this agreement will allow to collaborate in the strengthening program of the legislative culture of the Congress and said that it involves all the student community of the Maximum House of Studies, to celebrate together congresses, conferences, forums, round tables, colloquiums, symposiums, workshops, courses, diplomas and other academic activities.
In addition, he added that signing the agreement, represents a great responsibility for both institutions, since in Mexico it is necessary to strengthen the institutions, and a good way to do so, is through the student community, which represents today's and future's doing.
The President of the H. State Council, Congresswoman Arcelia Maria González González, sustained that this agreement pretends to contribute in the formation of the students. Likewise, recognized Ug for their positioning throughout the state, which assures a great projection and diffusion of the joint activities.
The President of the government board and political coordination of the State Congress of Guanajuato, Congressman Éctor Jaime Ramírez Barba, welcomed who he described as the most transparent Congress of the Republic, since it recognized the effort from part of this organ of the Legislative Power to set the transparence in all its actions.
From UG were present: The Rector of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, Dr. Graciela Ma. de la Luz Ruíz Aguilar; the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera; the Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez; the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Armando Gallegos Muñoz; the Director of Liaison, Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro; Attorney General, M.A. Mauricio Alejandro Murillo de la Rosa; and the Director of Communication and Liaison, M.A. Margarita Arenas Guzmán.
