Guanajuato, Gto., November 24, 2016.- As part of the strategy to consolidate the Educational Model of the University of Guanajuato (MEUG), there was a presentation and integration of the UG's Learning Communities, formed by entrepreneur students and aimed for their peers and their community.

Such communities promote the collaborative work and innovation; include all the university community (high and higher); promote the collective responsibility and continuous improvement; and fulfill specific goals structured by themed axes that address common problems and develop priority initiatives for the institution.

During the event, they presented four learning units: CADAS: environmental handling and sustainability; Community Pupas Developers; Formative and integral dancing; and Educational Innovation.

These communities include students from diverse Divisions at the university, as well as high schools and cover topics of social impact, such as environmental care, better use of energy, tutoring in curricular projects and development of artistic skills (dance).

Each one of the negotiation teams of the communities shared their purpose, objectives, experiences, guidelines, work plan and impact indicators. They also developed a process of integration of the four communities and were instructed to work inside within their contexts.

To the event attended the Director of Student Development, M.A. Osvaldo Chávez Rodríguez, who welcomed the participants and assured them that their initiative allows to integrate the uneasiness of the students with the same purpose.

He assured also that the transversal work between division and venues of the high school college manages to articulate projects that have an impact on the formation of generic competencies, incorporating initiative groups under a committed and institutional perspective.

The students were accompanied by the Chief of the Department of Educational Innovation, Dr. Gabriel Córdova Duarte and the Head of the Program of Environmental Handling and Sustainability, M.A. Dante Acal Sánchez.
