Guanajuato, Gto., November 27, 2016.- Within the 31st Anniversary of its foundation, as part of the patriot celebrations, the Folkloric Ballet of the University of Guanajuato (BAFUG) offered a party night with "Echoes of the Revolution."

Corridos, zapateos, whistling, yells and even acapella music flooded the Teatro Principal in a party that covered the historical Mexican Revolution.

The scene had a double face. On one side, it made a historical background through the first years of the independent Mexico, until the most critical moment of the Revolution presenting the richness of miscegenation, dressing and tradition that resulted from this mix.

On the other side, BAFUG, led by M.A. Roberto Martínez Rocha, achieved a critic representation regarding the Revolution, since it covered the topic from the complaint in favor of the towns or sectors that were affected, amidst treasons, wars and looting of the groups that fought power since then.

Images of looted towns, orphans losing their innocence to be responsible for their families and women going to war, achieved a re-valorization of the topic and a dramatization that undoubtedly touched the attendants.

For that, there were several dozens of dancers, youth and children and a colorful variety of typical dressings that dance to the rhythm of corridos such as "La Valentina", "El Sol y el campesino" and "Carabina 30 30", offering a colorful party and spectacular sound that filled the venue.

With this event, BAFUG proved why it is one of the most important groups in the region, reinforced with a sound 31-year trajectory, through which they achieved the audience to know them and value the folklore of the country.

BAFUG was formed in 1985, under the direction of M.A. América Balbuena. Twelve years later, Martínez Rocha took the challenge to lead the aggrupation, after being in the same group as dancer and today as director.

This way, throughout these 31 years, BAFUG has researched, enriched, encourages and divulged the folklore of Guanajuato and the country's.
