Celaya, Gto., November 29, 2016.- Dr. Emigdio Archundia Fernández, received the award as "Certified Scholar in Public Accounting", for having fulfilled the academic and professional quality requirements in the evaluation process carried on by the National Association of Faculties and Schools of Accounting and Administration (ANFECA).

Dr. Archundia Fernández, currently performs as full-time professor for the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences at Campus Celaya-Salvatierra at the University of Guanajuato (UG).

He has dedicated his life to teaching, research and extension and between his experience stands out the labor as Academic Secretary, Coordinator of Postgraduates and School Principal. With his vision, he achieved that the educational programs at their time were recognized for their quality before accrediting organisms of national character.

For Dr. Archundia Fernández, the distinction represents the active work and being able to distinguish among two thousand professors who participate, which is a motivation to commit even more with his function as professor and researcher, and he explains: "It motivates me to fight every day, to work in teams and help my peers and students to grow."

Throughout the year, Dr. Archundia revealed that he graduated more than 17 thesis students from major and postgraduate degrees and has been involved in more than 20 international agreements.

To conclude, Dr. Emigdio Archundia sent a shout out to the university community expressing: "I invite all the students to give a little bit more of what we have, because the University is to serve the others, it is its function in society, because he who doesn't live to serve, doesn't serve to live."
