Guanajuato, Gto., December 2, 2016. Authorities and of the Institute of Management and Leadership (IGLU) region Mexico, visited the University of Guanajuato (UG) where they were received by the General Rector and Academic Secretary, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino and Dr. Raúl Arias Lovillo, respectively, who reaffirmed their total support for the organism's activities and made a call to strengthen the interinstitutional collaboration.

IGLU is an organism of the Inter-American University Organization (OUI), and has the responsibility to organize activities led to university directors who are interested in developing or updating their knowledge and competences in matter of management.

In a welcome message for the visitors, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, exposed that the complexity of the Institutions forces to remain in constant dialogue, because despite diversity, there are common features among the educational institutions.

When exposing the needs of transformation and new challenges, he sustained that in other historical moments, the universities where isolated from the environment, they were "cloisters", but currently the liaison with society, businesses and other institutions is fundamental.

In the same sense, UG's Academic Secretary, and Ex-President of OUI, Dr. Raúl Arias Lovillo, sustained that the knowledge has been constituted in the motor force of the development of the countries, from there the demands that universities increase.

He celebrated that in the OUI there is a concern for the formation of the university directors, and considered that the great challenge is to flexibly the organization of knowledge and create new educational programs, according the needs of the current context.

To face the problems of a complex reality, there is only collaboration among universities left, because "it will always be better to address them in collaborations, and not alone", he affirmed.

At the meeting were present the IGLU's President of the Superior Council, M.A. Silvia Álvarez Bruneliere; M.A. Karina Esquivel Jiménez, Coordinator of the IGLU Center Mexico; advisor of the Academic Committee of IGLU Center Mexico, M.A. Ma. Teresa Betancourt Maldonado and Dr. Gabriela Garibay Banis, member of the Academic Committee of the IGLU Center Mexico.

Also, the interns who participated were from Kennedy University (Argentina), university center UNIVATES (Brazil), Universidad de Los Lagos (Chile), the Universidad Modular Abierta (El Salvador) and the Higher Institute of Teacher Formation Salomé Ureña (Dominican Republic).
