Guanajuato, Gto. December 3, 2016.- Forty scholarships will be granted to students of the Department of Mines, Metallurgy and Geology at the University of Guanajuato to support their professional profession, following the philosophy of the Program of Regional Equity through which they ease the access to the higher level to youth from high risk zones of academic lag.
These supports were negotiated in the framework of the General Agreement of Collaboration between the University of Guanajuato and the Association of Mine Engineers, Metallurgist and Geologists of Mexico A.C. (AIMMGM), to establish diverse agreements that allow the strengthening of the institutions and the comprehensive development of the students.
Out of the forty scholarships that will be given to students, twenty-nine will be granted by the National Committee of Ladies of AIMMGM with a monthly amount of $1,800 MXN, and eleven scholarships from the Committee of Ladies of District Guanajuato of AIMMGM with a monthly amount of $1,000 MXN.
This collaboration, in addition of providing support of academic excellence, will allow the development of research projects, planning and design of conferences, symposiums, diplomas, courses and update programs as well as programs of professional residencies.
