León, Gto., December 5, 2016.- With the commitment to contribute to the solution of current problems in vulnerable sectors, students of Campus Leon of the University of Guanajuato, members of the groups "Student hive", they organized a collect of food to deliver in the Home "Piecitos Descalzos", institution that currently supports almost three dozen children found in conditions of economic poverty or even in the street.

Under the name "All to the table", this initiative of solidarity was held, where the community could contribute non-perishing food. During several weeks, they collected the food delivered to the institution in an event to which members of the Coordination of Nutrition of the student's health area of Campus Leon attended, students representing "The Hive" and of course, the children who received the benefits.

The children were excited and thankful for the donation and the visit. Graciela Espinoza Barrera, Director of the Home, commented on the importance of this kind of activities, "it is not a simple task to feed, educate and clothe the 26 children we currently foster. This is aggravating if you consider that many of them spend most of their childhood and teen age here.

She added that the UG students, by participating in this kind of activities, in addition of contributing to their comprehensive formation they sensitize on the importance of being empathic towards the needs of others.

It is important to mention that this effort won't be the last one done to help the children, currently they are collecting toys and clothes for winter season.
