León, Gto., December 15, 2016.- With the participation of students of the degree in Social Anthropology at Campus Leon of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the activities of the First Journeys of Social Anthropology were held; an event that offered workshops, conferences, conversations and that concluded with the participation of the artists Aldo Villegas, better known as "Bocafloja".
The eclectic artist "Bocafloja" was invited by Job Emmanuel Alba Ángel, student of the degree in Social Anthropology and member of the committee of the project of First Journeys of Social Anthropology.
Job Emmanuel considers the artists as one of the best proposals today since he creates a direct connection between art and culture with anthropology, in addition of knowing the perspective and the research projects of the artists. "It is about an author who through their research projects presents themes that are related with social anthropology, besides it allows to analyze concepts of interest for the students of Social Sciences and related areas", he commented.
Likewise, Job Emmanuel highlighted the work of social anthropologist that "can influence in social processes and generate proposals in favor of society", and social relevance to bring artistic projects to the community such as "Bocafloja."
"Bocafloja" presented the documentary "Nana dijo", material that addresses aspects such as racial relationships, discrimination, racial heritage and was recorded in Mexico, Honduras, Uruguay, Argentina and United States. Equally, the artists spoke with the attendants and shared his experience as researcher and its vision as a message emitter.
For the next year, they have considered making the second edition of the event, where they'll seek the participation of artists and researchers with the finality to make multidisciplinary works.
