Guanajuato, Gto., December 30, 2016.- The researcher of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Antonio Martínez-Richa, makes research linked with the industrial sector to obtain better quality products in the national market.
Through the production of co-polymers of acrylic acid, meaning, polymerization based in two monomers that contain double links of carbon-carbon, you can obtain improvement in the properties and characteristics of a product, and they optimize the fabrication of bases for several products such as creams, shampoo, waxes, etcetera.
In an interview, the professor with more than 20 years working at UG, mentioned that implementing a productive plant gives the possibility to generate employment, improvement in the produce, and an increment in the quality of the materials that are offered in the Mexican market.
An example is the implementation of a new process in "El Pequeño Curtidor de León", business dedicated to produces chemical substances for their later commercialization, mainly by American and European companies, so this project will allow to increase competitivity of this Mexican company to offer its products in a better price and greater quality.
For a product to reach the final consumer, behind it, there is arduous research work to develop the components of the products, which leads to finally reach an appropriate technology according the established regulations in our country.
Dr. Martínez-Richa, Head Professor C and member of the National Researchers System, Level III, sustained that UG has evolved substantially in topics of Research that it develops, and is now a prestige institution that generates technology of quality and students with comprehensive preparation.
Likewise, he considered that UG has made important efforts to position the quality of the education and research in the national and international level and explained that the participation and involvement from the students in projects related to the industrial sector is important, and so, encourage in them a comprehensive formation so they develop their creative spirit in problems related with Science and Technology.
