
Celaya, Gto., January 13, 2017. During the introduction week held at Campus Celaya-Salvatierra of the University of Guanajuato (UG), personnel that participates in the Institutional Program of Gender Equality (UGénero) gave a talk to create awareness in the students who just entered the institution.
The students also received information on what the Institutional Program of Gender Equality and the comprehensive attentions consists on, which is provided by the UGénero window, when a case of violence occurs.
These activities are part of the actions taken by UG to mainstream the gender perspective in the institution. This time, they offered advisory for the freshman of the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering and the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra.
Likewise, the team that collaborate in UGénero made available for the university community different topics of training in the modality of workshops, talks, reflection groups, conferences and courses.
The contents that can be addressed in these activities are: UGénero Program, UGénero windows (Attention Protocol), Sex-Gender System, Violence free relationships, Respect for sexual diversity, prejudices, stereotypes and discrimination; harassment and sexual harassment, mobbing or work harassment and Bullying or school harassment.
Likewise, Gender Violence, Human Rights of Women, Gender perspective, Attention to people in situation of violence, legal framework of the attention to Gender violence, Masculinities, Historical perspective of feminism, Inclusive language and Sexual and reproductive rights.
