
Guanajuato, Gto., January 16, 2017. Authorities of the University of Guanajuato (UG) welcomed the students who participated in the Interinstitutional Mobility Program, which this time, summed 155 foreign and Mexican students.
At the ceremony, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, sustained that participating in the exchange program is an experience that goes beyond the academic, since it represents an opportunity for growth and allows to discover the common features despite diversity.
He reiterated that for the University of Guanajuato is a privilege to receive students from other institutions, who from now on are also bees of the "legendary beehive."
At the event were also present; UG's Academic Secretary, Dr. Raúl Arias Lovillo and the Director of International Relationships and Academic Collaboration, Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz, who welcome the students coming from 14 countries and 68 educational institutions, to whom he explained that UG is one of the ten strongest public universities in Mexico.
Representing the students, Gastón Riba from the Universidad Nacional del Jujuy, Argentina, who will make a stay at the Division of Life Sciences of Campus Irapuato Salamanca. The young man said that this experience is the opportunity to know new people, and share culture, knowledge and custom.
This time, the House of Studies receives, for the first time, students from the Dominican Republic, in addition of young students from Germany, Argentina, China, Colombia, South Korea, Spain; United States, France, Japan, Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru and from institutions of different Mexican entities.
The participants of the Interinstitutional Mobility Program attended an induction session to receive information about inter-culturalism, UG's Safety Program and the credit system, grades, student services of the House of Studies.
The Interinstitutional Mobility Program, derives from the agreements of academic collaboration of UG and allows to make stays in five modalities: semiannual courses, research stays, language and culture, double degree and professional practices.
