León, Gto., January 17, 2017.- With the objective to create actions that favor the students' development of the children at the Elementary School "Lic. Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada", a group of students of the University of Guanajuato (UG) work in the project "Quality Education for everyone."

This initiative seeks to provide free school supplies, restore buildings, install green areas, train teaching personnel in Human Rights, in addition of giving motivational speeches and psychological attention.

Students from the 7th semester of the degree in Public Management of Campus Leon; Luis Uriel Méndez Valdez, Paola Viridiana Villa Álvarez and Ana Laura Arroyo Bernal work in creating formidable conditions for the students at the elementary school. It is worth mentioning, that the basic education institution is found at Piletas 1st Section, in the city of Leon; place in one of the six poverty polygons known by the Municipal Institute of Planning.

In an interview, Luís Uriel Méndez, mentioned the importance of creating projects in favor of education and positively impact the development of the students. "Improve the conditions the school is in is important and more when we're talking about vulnerable zones in the region. The place has social problems that may affect the student life and hence, we have to take care of it."

Likewise, he expressed the existing need to have adequate access for the students in wheelchairs, as well as the urgency to have adequate bathrooms since they have portable one for the students to use.
