
Guanajuato, Gto., Fenruary 1, 2017.- The University of Guanajuato participated in "El salon de l'etudiant", one of the most important academic mobility fairs held in France and has the main objective to promote studies abroad.
Together with other 18 universities –14 public and 4 private—the University of Guanajuato presented his educational programs to French students with the purpose that the same get interested in making exchanges and academic stays in the institution.
The event was held in the Porte de Versailles, place where Mexico was a guest of honor of the academic mobility fair. The delegation of the 18 universities that attended, was led by the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES).
The University of Guanajuato showed their academic offer in postgraduates and different research lines it works with. Likewise, they invited to make an exchange in the institutions to, through their language center, learn Spanish and have an approach to Mexican culture.
At "El salón de l'etudiant" was mentioned that Mexico locates in the first place as a receiving country of French students in Latin America with around 1700 students in colleges in Mexico, especially in areas of engineering and trading schools.
Besides its participation in the academic mobility fair, the University of Guanajuato was present in the French-Mexican university journeys held at the Conference of the Presidents (CPU) of France, instance which represents the common intertest of universities and technologic universities, National Polytechnic Institutes, Normal Higher Schools, National Institutes of Applied Sciences and Great Establishments.
In these journeys, both Mexican and French institutions open debate tables on the importance and the development of education in both countries, as well as the relevance the cultural exchange has and of knowledge in students and academics from both regions.
