Guanajuato, Gto., February 6, 2017.- The delegation of the University of Guanajuato (UG) in the National Association of Civil Engineering Students of Mexico (ANEIC), obtained the second national place at the OlimpiANEIC, for their outstanding participation in the academic, cultural and sport activities.
Besides, Gerardo Lomas Arvizu, of Campus Guanajuato, obtained the third place as delegate, for his active and enthusiast participation in the activities of the association, as well as for his discipline and effort to strengthen this workgroup at UG.
With a 35-year history, ANEIC is a national network of students of Civil Engineering, where 63 higher education institutions participate, and has approximately 45,000 students.
The Association seeks the comprehensive development; hence, it organizes and promotes academic, cultural, sport and philanthropic activities.
On the matter, Gerardo Lomas & César Francisco Cruz Villegas told that their activities not only benefit the Civil Engineering students, but the community liaison is fundamental for the delegation.
As part of these actions, last year they contributed with their knowledge to rehabilitate a path in the community Tanque Blanco, in Comonfort. Students made the topographic study and the local government executed the work.
Currently, they apply the theoretic and practical knowledge in the elaboration of an executive project that allows to improve a rural path in the city of Salvatierra.
