León, Gto., February 9, 2017.- With the objective to analyze the actual context of the bilateral relationship between Mexico and United States of America, there was an analysis table titled "The Trump Era: present and prospective scenarios. A view from political sciences."

With the participation of the scholars of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Juan José Russo Foresto, Dr. Fernando Barrientos del Monte, Dr. Daniel Añorve and Dr. Armando Chaguaceda as moderator, the analysis of the actual context and the prospective of the public policies of the American government was made, as well as the impact of the decisions of the actual American president.

Dr. Fernando Barrientos explained the nature of the political system of United States, its functioning and the conditions in which government of the President Donald Trump operates. Likewise, he described the process of the initiatives presented by the head of the executive power, and how the country's political system must approve, modify or null such initiatives.

He also commented that the international policies with greater impact and what they can provoke with the relation with other countries in different sectors such as the economic, commercial and safety.

On his part, Dr. Daniel Añorve highlighted the impact of the twelve executive orders presented by Trump where the border safety is, and where he pretends to build a wall, as well as creating detention facilities in the border and hiring more migration agents.

In his intervention, he pointed out that the decisions of the American government will have a local and global impact, hence, he expressed: "it is necessary for Mexico's government to take firm postures and makes alliances with Latin American countries."

Dr. Russo Foresto centered his participation in the analysis of the political currents, symbolic elements such as nationalism and the role of the communication media and their impact on the North American democracy. "Trump has global consequences and the defense of the democracy has to be from the governments with firm decisions and say no to United States and focus to a negotiation with strong points" he commented.

The analysis table was organized by Dr. Armando Chaguaceda, professor-researcher of the Department of Public Management and Development by Dr. Alex Ricardo Caldera, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities.
