The assignation of these scholarships was made based on the summon issued in July 2016 aimed for outstanding students in the academic, cultural, sport, social and environmental areas.

At the ceremony, M. José Oswaldo Chávez Rodríguez, Director of Student Development, representing Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, UG's General Rector, gave a message to the benefited students highlighting "as students of this institution, we ask you that, responsibly, assume the values of recognizing this uneasiness in people outside our environment and always seek to create with them or with any country those links of brotherhood that widen our cultural universe."

In this protocol act, they handed a pennant to the students, as carriers and representatives of the diversity, thinking and human freedom of this house of studies.

Lic. Christian Mauricio Muñoz García, representing Ing. Jorge Enrique Hernández Meza, director of Educafin, explained that with this trip "we seek that the youth, leaders and above all of this prestigious house of studies go abroad. We want young decision makers, and that this youth have the best tools to make such decisions. We want them to learn from other cultures, different ways of thinking, other ways to organize and manage."

Likewise, Lizbeth Santiago Tejada, benefited student of the major of Touristic Resource Management, commented "I find it as an excellent support for the college students to be offered this kind of scholarships to travel and know other cultures."

From February 19-25, 30 students from the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences, 4 students of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, 4 students of the Division of Engineering and 2 students of the Division of Law, Politics and Government, all of them from Campus Guanajuato, will travel to the city of San Antonio and Houston, Texas where they will have the opportunity to be in touch with transnational companies, in addition of creating an schedule that will complement their professional and cultural formation.

This way, UG encourages in its students a culture of international exchange to contribute to their academic development and consolidation of personal projects.
