León, Gto., February 15, 2017.- As part of the joint work between the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León and the Mexican Association of Analytic Chemistry, the XXX National Congress of Analytic Chemistry will be carried out, as well as the XX Student Symposium that will be held in the facilities of the venue Forum from June 21-24 this year.

In an interview, Dr. José Antonio Reyes, Professor-researcher of the Department of Chemical Electronic and Biomedical Engineering, commented that the lines of research, the objectives and the impact both events will have with the participation of major, master and doctorate students of UG and students and researchers from other states in the country, will allow to know research projects and have reference of what is made in other universities.

"The objective is to strengthen the professional development of the students, establish collaboration links with remarkable researchers in the country, and address aspects of analytic chemistry in areas such as electro-chemistry, spectroscopy, quantification, processes and environmental", he mentioned.

Among the themes addresses, there will be the processes of purification and treatment of water and handling of soils, handling polymers created for the automotive industry, among others. As part of the programmed activities, there will be two visits to companies to show the process to tan leather, as well as handling residues to fulfill the environmental regulations.

The students will be able to participate in pre-congress courses, poster presentation, attend master conferences and talks. During the event, there will be theoretic and practical courses where the attendees will be able to follow the main research lines of quantitative analytic chemistry. The reception for research papers from all the participants will be until March 31st.

There will be oral and poster presentations, memoires will be published with the extended papers, as well as the abstracts. The accepting of these papers will be overseen by a scientific committee assigned by the board of representatives of this association.

They expect an attendance to the event of more than 200 people from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Universidad de Tijuana, Universidad de Guadalajara, Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco & Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí.
