Guanajuato, Gto., February 21, 2017.- The Rector of Campus Guanajuato of UG, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, set in motion the activities of the IX International Colloquium of Philosophical Research "How is a philosophical problem constituted?", which will be held from February 21-24 at the "Ernesto Scheffler Vogel" Auditorium of the venue Valenciana of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Before students and scholars of Mexico, Argentina and Cuba, Dr. Rendón Huerta Barrera, celebrated the creation of the forum, where they'll present essays from both the theists that course the Master programs as the doctorate in philosophy, activities that are not just a tradition that makes the University of Guanajuato (UG) proud, but innovate and propose.
She exposed that the main course of the Colloquium is to restart the interlocution and the collective analysis from the philosophical community as for the progress of research that both the professors-researchers as the theists present at this stage of their activity.
The general themes of the Colloquium, coincide with the structure of the postgraduate programs: Contemporary Rationality, Esthetics and Theory of Art, Ethics and Political Philosophy, Philosophy of the Science, Social Philosophy, Epistemology and Ontology.
Finally, Dr. Rendón Huerta embraced the scholar colleagues, students and researchers from other latitudes and of course the members of the academic cloister, in addition of a special award for the Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. César Federico Macías Cervantes and the Director of the Department of Philosophy, Dr. Rodolfo Cortés del Moral.
In his opportunity, Dr. César Federico Macías highlighted the international character of the Colloquium, which reveals, he said, the effort of the organization to enrich the dialogue and the formation of the academic community and shows that the professors don't just limit to teach.
"It is almost a common place to say that humanities are the consciousness of the University of Guanajuato", affirmed Dr. Macías Cervantes, who pronounced to make humanities the consciousness of society together and turn its reflections in social transformation factors, which today, more than ever, is required.
On behalf of the organizers of the Colloquium, Dr. María Luján Christiansen Renaud, Coordinator of the Master in Philosophy, celebrated the opportunity to share the topics, researches and projects of this thinking community and thanked the work team to carry out this international encounter.
The committee of the postgraduate is satisfied, he indicated, seeing the programs have matured, and the master and doctorate in philosophy are acknowledged by the National Council of Science and Technology in the National Census of Quality Postgraduates by consolidated level, achievement that wouldn't have been possible if there weren't a team work and a philosophical community with academic expectations of great reach.
At the opening ceremony, also participated: Dr. Rodolfo Cortés del Moral, Director of the Department of Philosophy and Dr. Patricia Castillo Becerra, Coordinator of the Doctorate in Philosophy.
