Guanajuato, Gto., February 27, 2017.- Scholars from Campus Guanajuato of the Maximum House of Studies of the State, sustained a meeting with Prof. Choi Nak-Won, of the Chonbuk National University, of Korea, who is interested by the academic programs being taught, particularly, in Social Sciences and Humanities, Exact Sciences and Engineering.

Dr. César Federico Macías Cervantes, Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities (DCSH) of the University of Guanajuato (UG), revealed in an interview, the details of Prof. Nak-Won's visit, who besides teaching at the Faculty of Humanities of the Department of Hispanic and Hispanic Literature, also participated in the internationalization area of his University.

He referred that in a work visit through our country, the Korean scholar had a special interest in visiting the University of Guanajuato to explore the possibility to develop joint academic works, particularly in Social Sciences and Humanities, Exact Sciences and Engineering.

He has a special interest to develop the Chonbuk National University in those knowledge areas, but also perceived that UG has the proper conditions within the Mexican universities to establish these bonds.

In one of the meetings held with Prof. Nak-Won, was present Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz, responsible of UG's Academic Cooperation, to dialogue about the elements that would have to be formally worked to develop this kind of activities or establish an agreement.

Afterwards, there was a meeting with the Directors of the Department of Spanish Letters, Languages and History, who could have several immediate links according the manifested intentions and plan base topics to develop agreements, revealed Dr. Macías.

He also considered to be a fruitful reunion, where they spoke about the needs the Korean colleagues have, to link with Latin American Universities to know more about their history, literature and language teaching.

Likewise, the agreed that for a successful development of relationships between both universities, there must be a greater knowledge of the cultures, traditions and values of each institution, since there are significant differences between both towns.

Precisely why they spoke of mechanisms to, eventually make exchanges, and students and scholars participate in cultural activities from both societies.

Dr. Macías Informed that in one of the two meetings held, also participated Dr. Agustín Ramón Uribe Ramírez, Director of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences (DCNE) to know in general terms, the interest of Prof. Nak-Won in his Division's subjects.
