Guanajuato, Gto., March 1, 2017.- The extension program of knowledge "Science is culture", promoted by the Direction of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato (UG) continues with its programme in the four campus and high school college.

With a total of twelve talks, March will be nurtured with several topics such as movies and literature, the psychology of color in food and its marketing, the physic presence of art, sleep chemistry, just to mention some.

At first, on Thursday March 2 at 14:00hrs at the auditorium of the Division of Sciences and Engineering of Campus Leon, will be held the conference "The language of the color in food" by Dr. Julián Andrés Gómez Salazar, where he will speak about the different emotions that colors produce and their relation with food, since colors are the first sensory contact we have with what we eat.

"Large and small infinites" is the name of the talk that will give Erik José Amezquita Moratya, student of the degree in Mathematics at the venue San Miguel de Allende at 12:00hrs on Tuesday March 7. This activity will be about, how large is really the infinite? And the Set theory, that proved that there several sizes infinites.

On March 14 at 12:00hrs at the Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, professor José Roberto Ayona, with "Voltage, light, music, painting and structures, do they have something in common?". At the talk, it will be delved on how the waves travel and if it is possible to make music through an electric circuit.

Yuriria will also receive the program "Science is culture", at the magnus hall will be presented the talk "Sleep chemistry" by the teacher María del Carmen Rodríguez Robelo, who will mention the alterations of the sleep patterns and the chemical processes that happen in that state of unconsciousness.

At HS San Luis de la Paz, on Thursday March 23 at 18:30hrs, the students would attend the talk and astronomical observation, "Art and the universe: between cumulus and nebulas" by the researcher Kevin Israel Pérez Ojeda.

In this activity, several images that the universe shows can be interpreted, some of them are nebulas and star cumulus that give us beautiful postcards with distinct shapes and colors.
