
Guanajuato, Gto., March 4, 2017.- The Superior Audit of the State of Guanajuato (ASEG) delivered the first Record of Addressing the Recommendations to the University of Guanajuato (UG), for having addressed completely all the propositions in the audit for Performance with focus on the Design of the "High and Higher Education Program of the University of Guanajuato".
This means that UG is the only educational program that has been able to accredit the 100% of the proposed recommendations and demands in the performance audit held by ASEG, which covered from January 1st to December 31 of 2015, and whose beginning was notified to UG on March 10, 2016.
After receiving the report of Follow Up and Record of Addressing the Recommendations, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, said that this recognition is evidence of a common public commitment of the Maximum House of Studies of the State and ASEG.
He congratulated all the involved instances, for their effort on attending the fourteen recommendations and the firm commitment with the aperture, transparency and accounts given.
The Higher Auditor of the State, M. Javier Pérez Salazar explained the transcendence of delivering this document, the first to be handed in the state to a public entity. He emphasized that it is a sample of the progress of the relation between a controlled subject and controller, where there is a co-responsibility and the sum of efforts and total aperture from both sides is evident.
In his intervention, the Secretary of Management and Development of UG, Dr. Jorge Alberto Romero Hidalgo, said that this record proves the commitment of the house of studies to be an open and transparent institution and implies that the institutions has been congruent in the design and planning of the budget based in results and fulfillment of established goals in the Institutional Development Plan (PLADI).
He reaffirmed the commitment to give accounts and inform to society through a coordinated work with organisms such as ASEG, to be open to scrutiny and application of methodologies and audits, that favor continuous improvement.
At the ceremony were present UG's General Comptroller, M. Adriana de Santiago Álvarez; Director of Planning, M. Josefina Ortiz Medel and the Director of Communication and Liaison, M. Margarita Arenas Guzmán.
From ASEG were present, M. Pérez Salazar, Special Auditor of Evaluation and Performance, M. Gerardo Arroyo Figueroa; the Secretary, Lic. Javier Amaya Rodríguez and Communication Liaison, Lic. José García Salmones Gutiérrez.
