Guanajuato, Gto., March 7, 2017.- High School authorities recognized the participating students in the Chemistry and Biology Olympics who obtained two gold medals and a bronze medal for their outstanding participation.

The student Cinthia Ximena Luna González, student of HS Leon, gold medal winner in the XXVI National Olympics of Chemistry, thanked the support and accompaniment given by the institution. Also, she mentioned that "it is a pride to represent the State of Guanajuato and knowing that what you do is something you like and gives results." She also highlighted to set the state and the University high is nice. Worthy to mention the participation of Dr. Ana Cristina Esqueda and Prof. Salvador Rentería, who advised and accompanied the student through all the stages.

On his part, the student Uriel Maldonado Hernández, HS Leon's student and winner of the bronze medal, thanked the support given by the directive personnel of the institution. "I think that the support and preparation was excellent, the support from our peers at the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences in Campus Guanajuato was huge and that is an important part that I want to highlight, to be able to sit here and say: mission accomplished."

Pablo Rivera Gómez was also recognized, gold medal winner who thanked the support and advisory of Dr. Luis Arturo Sandoval; "it was an important pillar for my participation in the Olympics of Biology", he mentioned.

At the event were present Dr. J. Merced Rizo Carmona, Director of the High School College who recognized and congratulated the participating students in the Olympics of Chemistry and Biology. In addition, he also recognized the work from the professors and advisors that accompanied each one of the students.

Dr. Sergio Augusto Romero Servín, Director of HS Leon commented: "I want to thank all the students for their valuable effort and the advisors who have a commitment with the institutions, with the student and an extra dedication to their functions, in addition, this process helps to discover themselves as people, which makes enriching for both parties."

At the press conference were present Prof. Salvador Rentería Hernández, Dr. Ana Cristina Esqueda Oliva and Dr. Luis Arturo Sandoval, HS Leon professors who besides advising the students, manifested their recognition for their outstanding participation in the Olympics.

UG has had outstanding participations in each edition of the Olympics setting high the name of the institution and the educational quality of its high school students.
