reciben-a-delegacion-japonesa-ugGuanajuato, Gto., March 7, 2017.- The High School College (CNMS) of the University of Guanajuato (UG) received a delegation of Japanese students, as part of the academic activities of bivalent baccalaureate.

A group of 16 Japanese professors and students share experiences with students on the bivalent baccalaureate of HS Guanajuato and Salamanca, as part of the collaboration agreements between UG and the National Institutes of Technology of Nagaoka and Fukushima.

Within the activities to develop, there is a learning session based in problems to analyze possible solutions for water shortage and ways to capture rain water, graffiti on stone and how to remove paint from a porous material. There will also be cultural activities and a tour by the city and visits to the company General Motors, to the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences and the Division of Engineering.

The students were received by host families in Salamanca and Guanajuato for two days, as part of the immersion to the Mexican culture.

For the youth studying high school at UG, this kind of activities represents a great learning that allows them to know aspects such as culture and gastronomy. Another advantage is that it helps perfect the language, increase their knowledge and socialize with students on the same level as the Japanese institutes.

For Dr. J. Merced Rizo Carmona, CNMS' Director, mentioned that the exchange is an opportunity to tighten collaboration bonds between UG and Japanese institutions, and for the students to have an opportunity to relate among them, in addition of the academic experiences in the classroom.
