The agreement will also help on the students' comprehensive formation, since the new educational model tends for knowledge not to center exclusively in the classrooms in terms of research and teaching, but expand to other sectors with the function that shows future substantial function of UG: knowledge transference.

Dr. Luis Enrique Mendoza Puga, DI's Director, thanked everybody for their availability to be part of this strategy printed in the agreement which will benefit everyone: employers and college students.
He remembered that 70 years ago, the major in civil engineering founded, today, it has a great national and international prestige thanks to the quality of the competences of the graduates, that when they graduated, they already had a job, hence, many didn't complete the degree, but now, due to the need to integrate in a globalized world, they seek international certification with degree indexes, and until now, the number are not too flattering.
Strategies were designed from that point, as degree alternatives, tutoring, but now they will be able to complement the professional practices, since the students must get out with competencies, go the real action field and make their practices in companies dedicated to construction and government institutions.
Likewise, Gabriel Falcón Anaya, President of the State College of Civil Engineers of Guanajuato AC, reiterated the willingness to work together so the students link with companies and when they graduate, they'll have a better function.
He informed that the college is composed by 11 municipal schools in 10 cities of the state, with a population of around 550 people who are civil engineers, and from them, 70% are UG graduates.
