Guanajuato, Gto., March 12, 2017.- This Thursday March 16 at 13:00hrs, at the venue Valenciana of Campus Guanajuato, will be held a master conference by Dr. Ángel Martínez de Lara with the topic "Cervantes, Quijote and Don Quijote". This conference will set the beginning of the Academic Project Cervantino UG, which has the objective to broaden, systematize and strengthen the academic and cultural doing regarding the emblematic figure of Miguel de Cervantes.

The University of Guanajuato is the original base where the Cervantine character of Guanajuato is found, first through the "Teatro Universitario", which has represented the "Entremeses" of Miguel de Cervantes for over half a century; and then with the constant participation in the International Cervantine Festival, among specialized instances in the matter such as the Cervantine Network of the World, which this house of studies is the current headquarters.

In this project, several special initiatives conflux as a UG Cervantine Class, which links an international seminar of Cervantine studies. It will also begin a second time of the virtual Magazine of the mentioned studies.

The cultural, scientific and academic program "Cervantes va a la Prepa" deserves a special mention. Within this program, there will be many activities towards learning and developing competencies and skills since teenage.

With this project, the University of Guanajuato recovers the spirit of several academic experiences that were made previously, consolidating and systematizing their impact.
