Guanajuato, Gto., March 14, 2017.- As part of the activities of the program UG Mentors, students of the University of Guanajuato (UG) gathered with 54 children who this time had the opportunity to develop their physical skills through activities such as Greco-Roman wrestling, gymnastics, dance and contemporary dance.

The participants gathered at the field Juan José Torres Landa and were accompanied by the gymnast Larissa Diosdado; UG's athlete Mónica Miguel Muñoz Olmedo, who practices Sambo and Judo; Julio Espinoza, Sambo trainer, and the dancer María Fernanda Martínez Martínez.

Little Perla Joselyn Sánchez, benefited of this project, shared her experience and mentioned: "you learn a lot of stuff from dance, wrestling and it helps us develop physically".

She added that being part of UG Mentors has pleased her because the college students encourage to be excellent students through several activities. She assured that coexisting with them has helped her obtain more knowledge "and when they ask in me school, I answer that I already know".

Another participant, Victor A. Hernández, considered UG Mentors as a great academy where they help solve the doubts in topics such as science, nutrition, painting, robotics, among others.

In an interview, Victor mentioned that is nice to be with other children in the activities to develop thinking skills guided by college students, also, he assured that "when they explain, it is not boring".

Finally, he sent a message to whomever wants to be a part of the project UG Mentors: "Never lose the opportunity to participate. College students treat us very well and give us activities and exercises that help our academic preparation".
